Amir Kavussi, Professor of Highway Engineering. He serves as the Head of Highway Group in the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at TMU.
He got his PhD Degree from University of Birmingham in UK. He worked as a visiting professor at University of Oregon, USA in 1996 and at University of Manitoba, Canada in 2003. Dr. Kavussi has undertaken several research projects in Iran and with international universities and companies. He is a board member of the Middle East Society of Asphalt Technologists (MESAT).
Dr. Kavussi is the editor of several local and international journals too. Through independent research works and post graduate supervision, he has published 70 journal papers. His research interest focuses on pavement materials characterization, recycling of bituminous mixes, pavement condition evaluation, and pavement maintenance and rehabilitation.
